FEEDING FRENZY (2022)

"Every morning she buys a loaf of bread and walks for 2 km to get to the park. This has been her routine ever since she retired from her job as a teacher. She sits down on the blue bench, next to the giant oak tree and greets the birds, she knows them well and has given them names, loving ones, the kind you would give to a child. Up until last year her husband would sit on this bench next to her, he always liked swans, even when they would hiss at him. She always liked that about him, that he never expected nature to conform to his expectations."
